Children’s Fitness Program

Our children’s program promotes strength, flexibility, endurance, self-esteem and sensory integration through exercise and play.Inactivity is now an epidemic among children and lack of exercise is a major reason for the growing rate of obesity among children. Physical activity has a positive impact on children’s physical development and also on their cognitive and social/emotional development. Regular activity can assist with:

  • Weight management
  • Maintenance of healthy bones, muscles and joints
  • Increased efficiency of the heart and lungs
  • Prevent and control anxiety and depression
  • Combating chronic diseases including heart disease, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure
  • Improved concentration and awareness during the day
  • Sleep better at night

If children develop a confidence in their own physical abilities they not only feel good about themselves, they are also more able to enjoy physical activities with their peers.

“Kids Fit Forum” is a monthly program held off site and registration is mandatory.
